Helen Frankenthaler created art for over 60 years becoming well known for her large scale abstract paintings: ethereal washes of colour created by thinning her paint with turpentine and pouring it over the canvas. An endless experimenter, she tried a little of everything including sculpting, printmaking and tapestry.
